Audri Villalon, BS

Audri graduated from the University of Houston, main campus, where she received the University’s Outstanding Thesis award for her research on the effects of hormones on verbal and visual-spatial memory. Audri joined Dr. Jorge’s team in 2014 and has coordinated research in traumatic brain injury and stress disorders, Gulf War Illness, and hormonal dysregulation. Her experience led her to co-design a new diagnostic tool to retroactively assess head injuries in research settings. Currently, Audri is co-chair of the board of VA National Coordinators and appointed member of Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center Research Compliance Advisory Team. Her goal is to develop improved prevention, diagnostic, and treatment options so that Veterans, and all future generations, can lead the best life possible.
