Dakota graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas and with an M.A. in Psychology from Houston Christian University. Dakota joined Dr. Jorge’s lab as a research coordinator in early 2020 and has assisted with several projects. Her current research interest focus on the assessment and treatment of trauma and stress-related disorders (e.g., military sexual trauma, PTSD, military-related trauma, and suicide). With her experience, she hopes to complete a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Her hobbies include endurance racing on horseback, traveling, and spending time with her two German Shepherds – Shasta and Senna.
